Sagetech Avionics Inc., an American aerospace technology company providing state-of-the-art situational awareness solutions for manned and unmanned aerial systems, and the Northeast Unmanned Aerial System Airspace Integration Research Alliance, Inc., a non-profit organization based in New York with a mission to safely integrate unmanned aircraft systems into national airspace, announced a partnership to test Sense and Avoid solutions and Automatic Dependent Surveillance and Broadcast transponders , both developed by Sagetech.
The tests to be performed will cover various concepts of operations including package delivery, lateral infrastructure inspection and other advanced operations where manned and unmanned aviation must safely share the same airspace. .

These tests will take place in Syracuse early this year.
The partnership will also focus on integrating various sense-and-avoidance technologies and non-cooperative sensors, using the robust LTE network at the New York UAS Test Site and New York’s 50-mile UAS Corridor.
